A year in the making.... I almost had to reno my studio to fit the piece inside.... and its a good thing I drive a full size SUV to transport it ! Layer upon layer, it was a real challenge painting at this size. I had to learn to paint standing further back and with larger brushes. I don't know how I'll ever get back to painting something that fits on my easel ! The vibrant use of colour and the texture is what makes this piece one of my favourties.... I'm also quite fond of the subject. The "Kristini" stands 6 feet tall and was a commission piece.
