An evening of art and wine abuzz with conversation all in support of the kids in our community that are battling cancer. Once again the community of Metchosin organized a very successful event with outstanding support from neighbours, friends and family. I was so sorry to have missed the event, but I have heard nothing but rave reviews about how fantastic the show was.
So once again thank you Metchosin!
Above ( bottom ) is the painting I donated to the auction. The scene is overlooking Taylor Beach where Mister and I frequently take our walks. I had great results with the sky using mostly filbert brushes with lots of phtalo turquoise ( my fav ).
Above ( top ) is a painting by artist Kim Saunders and donated to the cause. It was a show stopper and people were outbidding each other all night. In the end it brought in a wad of cash. Thank you Kim !
Above ( center ) a handmade necklace and pendant created and donated by artist Christine Richter, artist and craft guru. Thank you Christine !!
Also, artists Karen Pike ( my mom ) and Avril Goodall each donated a piece of artwork which added to the show and all helped to make it a huge success !
Many other local artists which are way too many to list, showed their support by donating some of their great work. It all made for a great show with loads of variety. A great big thank you to you too !
